Liverpool to replace Suarez with... Suarez

If your worried about the state of your Luis Suarez replica shirt given the constant rumours about the strikers future then fear not for there could be another Suarez on his way to Anfield. The Metro are reporting that Sporting Lisbon wide man Jeffren Suarez is on the clubs wish list.

That said aside from generating less controversy the signing of this Suarez is hardly likely to have many other facets that will cushion the blow of losing the Uruguayan, should the constant talk of his exit come to fruition. Jeffren has hardly pulled up trees since he joined Lisbon from Barcelona back in 2011, with this largely being a move that would be based on apparent potential rather than evidence of product on the pitch should it turn out to be more than another guess of two plus two equals seventy.

That said such moves for players who are unproven only highlights the difficult situation Liverpool are in when it comes to the transfer window, given that they cannot offer the European football that others can. This therefore leaves them feeding off the big boys scraps and in many cases such as this one forced  to take gambles on unproven players. Although it has to be noted that stories linking them to a player who has started just 13 games this season, scored only two goals and failed to contribute an assist should be taken with more than a pinch of salt.

Whether this story is nonsense or not Liverpool will be more than happy to see a gossip story not relating to the Luis variety of Suarez, with the future of their prized asset likely to be one of the major talking points for the rest of the transfer window.
