Premier League agent demands club to pay up or player will leave
If you were Christian Beteke’s agent, you would be doing everything you can to squeeze the pursestrings at Aston Villa after your client single-handedly kept the club in the Premier League. Well, needless to say that Eris Kismet is doing just that – telling Villa to either pay up or P off.
The 22-year-old has been a sensation this season, scoring 19 goals in the league and creating plenty more. His performances have ensured that Villa will play in the topflight again next season, although only just, and his signature has been highly sought after.
His representative, Kismet, said: “Now that Villa’s future is secure I hope we can have discussions by the end of this week. If not, then next week.
“We did the transfer deal last summer with Aston Villa with a lot of respect. We hope that discussions on a new contract will be done in the same way.
“Villa have said they want to speak for several weeks, but it has been difficult because of the situation in the Premier League. Now they are safe the situation will change.”
I am sure both agent and player are popping open a bottle of bubbly in celebration that the next few months will hold a whole lotta money for them both.
