End of the road for Chelsea stalwarts?

Could Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole really be leaving Chelsea?
That’s the case, according to The Sun, who say that the pair will not be handed new contracts at the West London club. It is thought that only one-year deals are offered to the over thirties at Chelsea, which is why Didier Drogba decided to pack up sticks and move to Shanghai in China. Lampard has been linked to join his Ivorian friend, and David Beckham’s LA Galaxy are also reportedly interested.
Ashley Cole has been in the headlines a lot this week for writing naughty things on Twitter (#bunchofwhat?), and the left back was linked with former manager Carlo Ancelotti’s PSG side in the Summer.
A club source revealed: “Frank and Ashley are still very important to Chelsea but if they stay it will only be on the club’s terms.”
The England pair have started nearly every game this season for the club, so it is just a case of whether they need Chelsea, or whether Chelsea need them.
Over thirty, what pensioners.
