The end of the Ballack

At the age of 36 Michael Ballack has decided to call an end to his career in football after being released by Bayer Laverkusen.

Ze German was an intengral part of Chelsea's squad during his four year spell with the club and helped them to win three FA Cups and the title (09-10) in that time. Ballack was also named captain of the German national team and led them on deep runs in international and european tournaments and earning 98 caps in the process.

Ballack also enjoyed successful spells with Kaiserslautern and Bayern Munich at the beginning of his, winning the Bundelisga with each club (three with Munich and one with Kaiserslautern).
