It appears that Fabio Borini’s Liverpool career is set to cause the Italian more frustration as it has been confirmed he is to undergo surgery on a fractured bone in his foot.
Borini originally fractured part of his foot in the defeat to Manchester United but thought nothing more of it. He has recently aggravated the same injury whilst on international duty with Italy.
On his return to England the Liverpool medical team have requested Borini has surgey on his injury. The rehabilitation process after the injury lasts around 3 months; therefore Borini isn’t expected to feature for Liverpool until the New Year.
This injury has certainly come at a wrong time for the young Italian as his career on Merseyside hasn’t really got going and created that spark needed to win the fans over. Borini would have wanted to come back from the International break with a fresh outlook and attitude to Liverpool and therefore hoping he could start scoring the goals for the Reds.
Borini has only recently got settled in his new home having moved four times in a year. The poor lad needs a break and that is not one on his leg.
Now Borini has to play a waiting game to prove to the fans he is worth the money the club paid for him. This injury also leaves Brendan Rodgers with an even more fragile strike line up as he now has only Luis Suarez as his only recognised striker.
