Carlton Cole has vowed to stay and fight for a starting place at West Ham despite the loan signing of Andy Carroll.
Cole has struggled to consistently make the West Ham first team, even without Carroll there, and the fact that the striker is in the last year of his contract may well mean he is on his way out.
Defiantly, however, Cole has stated that he will stay and fight for his place in the team regardless of whether the long haired No.9 from Liverpool is there or not. That's the kind of fight and determination you want to see in football players, especially when it comes from the not so talented ones.
