Winger set for January Blues exit

Florent Malouda could finally be set for a January exit from Chelsea, but only if the Blues subsidise his wages. The Daily Mirror claims that Brazilian outfit Santos are interested in the out of favour Frenchman, who looked set to leave Stamford Bridge over the summer.

However, his £80,000-a-week wages are likely to prove a stumbling block in any deal, with the South American giants unlikely to be able to afford the 32-year-old. As such, they are requesting the Blues pay off Malouda in order to convince him to leave the club.

Malouda has been forced to train with the youth team in recent weeks as manager Roberto Di Matteo opts against utilising his talents in the first-team.
