Reds ready striker loan move

Liverpool are prepared to bolster their striking options through the loan signing of Didier Drogba, according to the Daily Mirror. Manager Brendan Rodgers has just Luis Suarez as his only recognised front-man following injury to Fabio Borini.

The Ivory Coast international could be allowed to join a European club following the culmination of the Chinese Super League next week, of whom his club Shanghai Shenhua picked up the title recently.

Drogba left Chelsea last summer following their Champions League victory in May, but would be a welcome addition to Liverpool, if only on a short-term deal.
