Well that's put the cat amongst the pigeons.
Just when it looked almost certain that Arsenal were ready to let go of Theo Walcott, the England winger's only gone and shown proof of his abilities by scoring a hat-trick in the Gunners' remarkable comeback from 4-0 down to take their League Cup Fourth Round tie 7-5 against Reading.
The Metro are reporting that a final round of contract talks have been scheduled for the middle of February between Walcott's representatives and the Arsenal hierarchy.
Will last night give Walcott the money, sorry, I meant to say the assurances that he'll play up front regularly for Arsenal rather than out on the wing?
We can only wait and see.
