Serie A champions Juventus are preparing to spend up to £70m in order to secure the signature of Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.
The deal would include both the transfer fee and wages for the Dutchman, who looks set to depart the Gunners this summer.
Van Persie recently signalled his intention to leave the Emirates Stadium after refusing to sign a new deal with the club.
Manchester City and Manchester United have both been linked with the 28-year-old, along with Italian giants AC Milan.
However, Juventus are prepared to trump all three to the signing of van Perise as they continue to strengthen this summer.
The Turin giants had previously shown an interest in Napoli’s Edinson Cavani and Liverpool front-man Luis Suarez, but appear to have swapped their interest to the North London outfit.
