Spurs prepare shock striker swoop

Tottenham Hotspur have made a shock loan move for Arsenal misfit Marouane Chamakh as they look to bolster their front-line.
The North London side are expected to move for a new striker before the close of the transfer window.
Head coach Andre Villas-Boas has just Jermain Defoe and the inexperienced Harry Kane to choose from in the striking department.
A permanent move for Emmanuel Adebayor looks to have stalled, as the player and Spurs cannot agree personal terms.
The club are now ready to move for the Morocco international following the failure to land Jose Salomon Rondon and Roberto Soldado.
The 28-year-old arrived at the Emirates Stadium in 2010, but has failed to live up to expectations, netting just 12 times in 63 appearances.
