Jermaine Pennant may be set to take his own unique back-log of trivial crimes to Wigan in what could be one of the summer's not-so high profile moves.
It is a bit of a Shakespeare style transfer-triangle, so it is difficult to explain;
Club Call have reported that Pennant could be on the way to the Latics as the Lancashire club look to replace the outgoing Victor Moses, who could be on the way to Chelsea.
However, Mr Pennant, doesn't seem to share the same enthusiasm over the potential deal, with him telling Sky Sports that he doesn't know what anybody in the Twittersphere, who have been spreading news of the move, are on about.
The 29 year old winger gave a firm "No!" when asked about the news, saying that was the first time he had heard of any news of a link with the transfer.
He also said that the rumours had been fuelled by Stoke's move for Wolves winger Michael Kightly, due to be completed for £2 million, as a cushion to ship Pennant out of the Brittania.
Jermaine Pennant, with a history of criminality and misdemeanours, had seen a career revival at Stoke following a stall in the obscure surroundings of Real Zaragoza, so Wigan could do a lot worse when after a viable wing-alternative for the flying Victor Moses.
However, him and his agent have managed to put the brakes on any spreading rumours by saying he is going absolutely nowhere, he loves pottery, oatcakes and such too much to wave goodbye to Stoke.
