Some busy times at Arsenal

Summer transfer windows don't usually kick-off at Arsenal until the eleventh hour of deadline day when they have been thrashed in their opening three or so league games, but they have been in no mood for a quiet on this time round having captured the signatures of Olivier Giroud, Santi Cazorla and Lukas Podolski, and the business seems set to continue.
Rumours had emerged in the English media that the Gunners had been eyeing Senegal Olympic star Chiekhou Kouyate from Anderlecht after his agent Tadir Bekir told Het Nieuwsblad that the midfielder's versatility had interested a fair few European clubs.
However, things aren't that simple for the Gunners as Sky Sports are reporting that Anderlecht chief Herman Van Holsbeeck has been quoted in Het Laatste Nieuws as saying that no bid has yet been made and that it would take "a lot of money" to land the 22 year old combative midfielder.
If that wasn't enough for the hungry Gunners, the Daily Mail had also reported that Arsene Wenger was casting an interested eye on Celtic's South Korean midfielder Ki Sung-Yeung who has been attributed with the same fanfare that is usually given to an exciting prospect, the "next...." treatment, the "next Steven Gerrard" in Sung-Yeung's case.
With all this going on, Wenger must also brace himself for the ever-likely departure of Robin Van Persie with news doing the rounds that Manchester United are edging ever closer to the Dutchman's signature with the possibility of a new bid being made.
