It appears that Sir Alex Ferguson's patience with Patrice Evra has worn thin as The Mirror report this morning that he will be on the bench in favour of summer signing Alexander Buttner this Saturday.
Manchester United's defence has been abject during the first three games of the season (conceding twice to Southampton?) and it appears that Ferguson has had enough and feels it is time shake things up. Buttner (heh) was brought in from Vitesse Arnhem this summer and has yet to make appearance. Evra's poor performances, though, gives the young Belgium a chance to impress.
Wigan visit Old Trafford this Sunday and Buttner will be scrutinised by Ferguson as he aims for his team to tighten up at the back. If Wigan manage to snatch a goal a two, however, be sure to look out for Ferguson's jaw falling off due to excessive gum chewing.
