Desperate times for Liverpool in their pursuit to bring in fresh faces, with the Reds latest recruit the winner of a football-based reality show in Turkey. The Daily Mail is today reporting that youngster Emin Altunay has been handed a trial with the Merseyside giants after impressing in an arranged encounter against Liverpool youth players.

The 16-year-old will now link-up with the squad, who have faltered already this season, having failed to record a win this season.

Altunay will now be looking to do enough to earn a professional contract at Anfield and follow in the footsteps of Raheem Sterling, who has been a bright spark in Liverpool’s campaign thus far.
