Ben McAleer Highly rated Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm has agreed a new four-year deal with the Premier League side. The Dutchman had been attracting interest from the likes of Liverpool and Arsenal following a sterling debut season in the Premiership, but those rumours are likely to be quelled having signed a new contract.
The 28-year-old arrived from FC Utrecht last summer, and told the Official Swansea City website of his delight at extending his stay at the Liberty Stadium until 2016. The news will likely come as a blow to the Reds, who have been credited with an interest in Vorm in recent months.
The erratic form of current number Pepe Reina has prompted reports that Liverpool were keen to move for a new shotstopper once the transfer window re-opens in January, but are now unlikely yo pursue their interest in Vorm.
