Redknapp plays down late transfer talk

Harry Redknapp expects Tottenham Hotspur to do very little business before the close of the transfer window on Tuesday night.

The North London outfit have been linked with a host of big money moves for the likes of Junior Hoilett, Loic Remy and Christopher Samba this month.

However, the permanent signing of loanee Yago Falque has been the only bit of business Spurs have completed in January, with the young Spaniard subsequently loaned to Championship title contenders Southampton.

And Redknapp admits there is likely to be very little to no transfers completed prior to tomorrow night’s midnight deadline.

"I can't see an awful lot (happening)," said Redknapp.

"I will probably watch a game on Sunday but not with a real eye on anyone, although I'm not going to tell you which match."
