Santos president ready to let star leave

The president of Brazilian club Santos has revealed that the club are prepared to let star player Ganso leave the club in the summer, providing the correct bid comes in.

The Brazli international has been a long term target for Chelsea and Manchester United and has let his club know that he wishes to move to Europe at the end of this coming season-

"Santos do not want unhappy players," said Luis Alvaro Ribeiro.

"If he wants to leave and a bid meets our valuation, he can leave.

"The player is eager to shine and that is something that is in both his interests and the club's. If he plays well, certainly better offers will come in the middle of the year."
