Gunners keen on Denilson sale
Friday, June 22, 2012 at 1:00 PM | by
Ben McAleer Arsenal are eager to sell out-of-favour midfielder Denilson, according to former club Sao Paulo.
The 24-year-old spent last season on-loan with the Brazilian side after failing to hold down a starting spot under Arsene Wenger.
And although the Gunners are keen to sell Denilson, Sao Paulo insist they can’t afford to bring him back to Brazil permanently.
"Denilson won't stay," Sao Paulo president Juvenal Juvencio told UOL. "Arsenal want €6million (£4.9million) for him, but we won't pay that so we expect him to leave soon.
"Of course we will try to get the loan deal extended for another year, but it won't be easy."
