Chelsea to move for Newcastle man

Chelsea are prepared to meet the release clause inserted into Newcastle United talismanic striker Demba Ba.

The Senegal international is available for £7m until the end of the month after his buy-out clause was revealed back in January.

Newcastle are keen to hold onto the former West Ham United star, but will be powerless to prevent him from leaving should Chelsea match the asking price as they look to replace Didier Drogba.
