Sean Gonzalez-Lambert Swansea City have had their £1.5m bid accepted for Spanish midfield maestro Michu from Rayo Vallecano.
The Madrid-based club confirmed the news to Sky Sports earlier today which leaves the Swans as firm favourites to land the former Getafe player.
Michu has been receiving a lot of interest from a host of Premier League clubs including Manchester United, Liverpool, Fulham, Stoke City and new-boys Southampton.
New Swansea boss Michael Laudrup has already raided La Liga with the purchases of José Manuel Flores Moreno from Genoa and loanee Jonathan De Guzman from Villarreal as he looks to strengthen his squad for the forthcoming season.
A Swansea spokesman confirmed that: "Michu is now negotiating with Swansea.", where the 26-year-old will be offered a three-year-contract at the Liberty Stadium.
