Wenger's Gunners aiming high

George Powell Arsene Wenger insists that Arsenal can compete for the Premier League title, despite being financially unable to contend with some of their rivals.
The big spending of Premier League Champions, Manchester City, and European Champions, Chelsea, have seen an end of to the days when it was Arsenal challenging, the ever present, Manchester United at the top of the table.
The Frenchman has favoured a cautious approach in his transfer dealings, something he has been criticised for, but he is not about to change his ways.
Wenger, though, believes that not being able to compete financially does not always correlate with on pitch performance.
