Agent: Cavani will be sold

Italian super agent Paulo Palermo believes Napoli will sell Chelsea target Edinson Cavani this summer.

The Uruguayan has been tipped to leave the Serie A outfit during the transfer window, despite a £78m price-tag being slapped on his head.

Palermo believes a move is possible, telling TMW: “Will [Napoli president, Aurelio] De Laurentiis be able to resist offers for [Edinson] Cavani? It’s difficult, I think that this is the direction and I say this as a fan of Napoli; If relevant offers arrive that can fill the coffers, the operation will happen.

“No one could imagine that Milan was going to lose in this way their valuable assets. There is a crisis, and it’s felt at all level.”
