'Give me the same as Rooney'

Striker wants the same wages as Rooney to move to Old Trafford.

It is believed the Dutch striker is willing to join Manchester United ahead of city rivals Manchester City – but only if they match his wages with Wayne Rooney's.

Wayne Rooney is currently on a reported £220,000 a week and if Manchester United are serious about buying the Dutchman then that is what they must stump up every week for him.

It looks as though it is now a straight fight between the two Manchester clubs but City are not willing to match his demands.
