Earlier in the week The Sun reported Andy Carroll's performance against Sweden had earned him recognition from AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi's son.
Now, Mark Hateley believes the giant striker should move to the San Siro to become a better all-round striker.
Former Milan player Hateley told TalkSport “It would be a breath of fresh air for Andy Carroll.”
“They teach you the game inside and out.”
“It would be great for Andy and, when he's taken all that on board, it'll be great for England.”
“Milan can deconstruct his game and build it back up again.”
No concrete interest has been established however and Liverpool would be unlikely to let Carroll go considering the £35 million they paid.
