Ivanovic helps Marin settle in at the Blues

Branislav Ivanovic has pledged to help new Chelsea signing Marko Marin settle in at the club and is confident the winger will make a positive start to life in England.

Marin joined Chelsea from Werder Bremen at the end of last season and the German international has Serbian heritage leaving Ivanovic to offer his assistance in helping him settle in.

Ivanovic told the official Chelsea website: "I met him in the World Cup in 2010 when he played against us for Germany. We met again when he signed for Chelsea, and we trained today for the first time together and I am very impressed and feel very positive about him. He feels confident and he feels ready and this is most important for now. It is great for me because I can speak the Serbian language with him and I will try to help him but he speaks English already."

Marin has just begun training with his new teammates and has confirmed that he is settling in well at the club after his summer move.

He said: "I am now here for three weeks and I think I know everybody [who works here] now. I am happy to start team training now and I feel good. It was the first time we trained together with the ball, we did a lot and it was good intensity. The first two days we have only one session a day and then it starts with double sessions."
