Defender deal stalls

The transfer of Marseille defender Cesar Azpilicueta to Chelsea looks to have stalled, with the two club’s failing to agree a fee.

The Blues are set to bring in a new right-back this summer following the departure of Jose Bosingwa, with manager Roberto Di Matteo keen on the Spaniard.

However, with the deal looking to have fallen through, the Italian is set to move for Inter Milan’s Maicon or Mathieu Debuchy of Lille.
