Naughton signs new Spurs deal

Tottenham Hotspur have tied down defender Kyle Naughton to a deal running until 2016 after the full-back signed a new contract.

Naughton, 23, has enjoyed a variety of lower-league loan spells since his move from Sheffield United in 2009, but last year's spell at Norwich in which he managed 32 appearances, showed he was ready to step up to Premier League level.

The defender will now be hoping to play his way into new manager Andre Villas-Boas' first team plans.
