Swansea get Bartley

Swansea City have bolstered their options ahead of the new season with the signing of Arsenal youngster Kyle Bartley on a three year deal.

The 21 year old centre-half joins the Swans for a fee believed to be in the region of £1 million and becomes Michael Laudrup's fifth signing of the summer at the Liberty Stadium.

Amid various loan spells, Bartley made just one first team appearance for the Gunners in five years and after speaking with Arsene Wenger, who told him game-time would be minimal, saw Swansea as too good an option to turn down.
