French-based left back claims Arsenal want him

A Senegal international has claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing him.

Toulouse left-back Cheikh M'Bengue believes the Gunners are interested in him and he would be willing to join the club.

The 24-year-old is thought to have caught the eye of Arsene Wenger and M'Bengue believes that if he came knocking for him, Toulouse would not turn down the offer even though the left-back is contracted until 2014.

However, the Toulouse chairman has said once the season starts, no player will be leaving the club during this transfer window.

M'Bengue also said he has not held talks with Arsenal yet either
