Kakuta to be used in defender deal

Chelsea are ready to offer Gael Kakuta to Marseille in order to secure the signing of right-back Cesar Azpilicueta.

The young Frenchman has failed to live up to expectations at Stamford Bridge and has been loaned out to Fulham, Bolton Wanderers and Dijon during his five years in West London.

The Blues are keen to secure the signing of Azpilicueta following the departure of Jose Bosingwa and are ready to offer the striker as a makeweight in any possible deal.
